If you’re looking for wedding photos that will stand out from the rest, Terre Haute, Indiana wedding photographer, Mike Servis, is your guy. Mike has been practicing the art of photography for many years now, and has been a professional since 2007. He finds shooting weddings to be inspiring and energizing, and wants everyone to feel good about the photography on their wedding day. He also believes that that isn’t possible with rigid and traditional poses, and thus sticks to unique wedding images.
“I like to capture the heart and soul of a wedding so the images that I take are typically not traditional nor do they follow a rigid and structured style. If you wanted a traditional photographer I may not be the right choice for you, although I do mix some classic poses in my photography.”
“Something often overlooked when selecting a wedding photographer is the number of hours that will be offered during the coverage of your wedding. Typically you will want your wedding photographer to be with you to document all the moments of your wedding day. After all, that’s what you are hiring them for. That being said, typical coverage requirements for your wedding day should be about 8 – 10 hours. Be careful here, some photographers offer cut rate prices by offering you less than adequate coverage for your day. These become hidden costs.”
Mike has several influences on a professional level, including David Ziser, Doug Gordon, and SnapKnot’s very own, Sal Cincotta.
In efforts to keep his wedding images unique, Mike specializes in what he likes to call “freestyle” photography.
“At ServisPhotographics Photography, we encourage our brides and grooms to suggest pictures and poses they would like. We like to be very creative and get romantic as well as fun shots which will make your special day even more memorable. We allow you to choose your family members/friends to be included in your shots. It’s your wedding and we try very hard to make it a special day for you.”
