A warm welcome to Meo Baaklini, one of the most recent additions to our list of San Francisco wedding photographers! She brings an intimate quality to her shooting style and produces romantic wedding pictures with an ethereal touch to her glamour and boudoir photography.
“I am a hopeful romantic. I get warm fuzzes and cry at every wedding. My background is in painting, so every scene is a blank canvas for me.”
“I was obsessed with the fact that I had the ability to make time stand still (and not like Evie from Out of this World).”
After that, she hit the Academy of Art for photography school and hasn’t looked back since! (Except for bad guys, she says, because she watches too many horror flicks).
Meo considers herself fortunate enough to have an amazing group of friends with crazy talents to push and encourage her in many ways. She has learned a lot from her teachers at AAU, the masters of photography that she has studied, and also the instructors to have graced CreativeLive workshops.
This San Francisco wedding photographer has had a number of comical animal-related instances at wedding she’s worked. At one, a stray dog busted into the venue and headed straight for the roasted pig. At another one, a cat in a harness jumped on a table mid-ceremony. His owner popped his head in and asked if anyone had seen a cat!
“You are initially attracted by the photos, then start digging deeper to see if you like their personalities and who they are as a person. Then, connect and see if you click (no pun, I swear!). If it all works out, you all end up having a wedding together!”
A few fun personal facts about this fun photographer? Meo does most of the hair and makeup for her portrait and elopement sessions. She loves having the extra time to connect with her client while getting them all dolled up for the camera. You can see her in action here.
