Giving a little something to each guest who attends your wedding is a great way to show them all how much you appreciate their support and love on one of the most important days of your life. DIY wedding favors are so fun to create and you can customize them in so many different ways. From creative and kitschy to traditional or edible, let your creativity step in to come up with the perfect wedding favor for your guests.
It is always great if your DIY wedding favors reflect the type of wedding you are having. If you are having an outdoor rustic themed wedding, giving your guests some seeds to plant may be a fun idea. Are you having a wedding that is during the holiday season? Maybe a nice holiday candle or ornament would be the perfect fit. Whatever your wedding theme and your interests, there are DIY wedding favors that you can create that will make each and every guest feel special and will show how much you care!
Like we always say, it is great to remember that putting together hundreds of DIY wedding favors can be a bit tedious, especially if you try and do them all on your own. Ask for help… your parents or siblings may be happy to help you out. Or, perhaps invite over all of your bridesmaids for a fun movie and pizza night and put together each favor while you are all spending quality time together!

Everyone loves a nice, outdoor wedding… especially when you can enjoy the sunshine and beautiful weather! Why not stick with the outdoor, green theme with your favors. We just love this idea photographed by Gracie Blue Photography to give each guest seeds to plant with the “Spread the Love, Plant Some Seeds” sign. Or, if you would prefer to give your guests an actual plant or flower, this is also an easy idea photographed by Mirelle Carmichael Photography. Get some small flower pots and put whatever type of plant or flower you would like!
We think these coffee bean jars from Something Turquoise are such a great DIY wedding favor idea for a coffee loving bride and groom! Find some small jars, like these tiny mason jars shown below, throw in some coffee beans and fill out the coffee bean label download that can be found on the Something Turquoise page. So simple and these would be such a big hit!
Food and sweets is always a popular DIY wedding favor because everyone loves a little something sweet! A simple jar with carmel corn, like the one below photographed by Katie Rivers Photography, would be so simple to create and you can even use any type of candy or sweet that you would like. Perhaps find a candy that matches your wedding colors and then decorate the jar however you see fit! If you are having a rustic-themed wedding, you could decorate with burlap like the photo below. If you are having an indoor, more traditional wedding, perhaps using some white tulle around it would be nice.
Think back to being younger and how fun it was to sit around the campfire with your family and make smores! Everyone loves a good smore so why not give the fixings’ to each of your wedding guests? Simple put together enough graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows together with a cute ribbon and your guests will be thrilled!
