LA wedding photographer Jess Robertson recently launched a brand new website and also announced her Spring Collection. It was the perfect opportunity for us to ask her a few questions about her background and how she got started in wedding photography. She’s been on SnapKnot since late last year and we had the pleasure of meeting her in person at WPPI this February in Las Vegas. Read on to learn more about Jess!no comments

I’ve never shot a wedding on Thanksgiving weekend before, but I have to say that Joslynn and I had a lot of fun. The Autumn colors were in full swing and thanks to our fun couple Myra and Beny and Peter from Rare Elegance with the classic Bentley the sunset bridal session turned out to be amazing! Here’s a tiny peak at what we got. Congratulations again to Myra and Beny… we wish you a long, happy and exciting marriage!1 comment
Wedding and reception at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco. Wow, running behind on my blogging! In early October the Karl Ko Photography team was lucky enough to photograph another wedding at the beautiful St. Francis! The Bridgeview Suite was bride and bridesmaid central as Marly and Maria put the finishing touches on Jennifer and the ladies1 comment
10.10.10. Congratulations Tricia + Scott! Leave it to Tricia and Scott to come up with such a great date to get hitched. And leave it to them to find an amazing, unique, beautiful and secluded venue in which to get hitched. To my utter delight, they chose to throw aside tradition and rent a gorgeous home for their wedding weekend. This “home” (castle) is named “ Ski Esta .” It’s located minutes from Sunday River in Newry Maine. You know what they say- pictures are worth a 1,000 words so why don’t I just cut to the chase: Yep. This place is at the top of a mountain and during the fall season it overlooks a sea of reds, yellows and oranges. Ski Esta is truly a picturesque venue for an autumn wedding weekend. I know I had a blast and I’m pretty sure the photos will reflect that I wasn’t the only one
It was such a beautiful day in New York City for Angelique and Gerry’s 1-Year Anniversary photo session. I’m so happy that we got together for a photo-shoot while I was in New York last month to visit my family! That Saturday morning happened to be 9/11’s ninth anniversary and there was a big protest happening downtown, Fashion Week just kicked off a couple of blocks away from us, and there was also a big breast cancer awareness marathon happening in Central Park. There’s always 10 billion things going on in the city and the streets always flooding with tourists, yet you can also have a quiet time in certain parts of the city –another reason why I heart New York so much! :) You may remember this beautiful couple from their wedding last year in New York City . Angie wore her send-off dress for the pictures around Central Park, and we went back to their apartment afterward to take more pictures of them in her wedding dress :) What a beautiful couple, and I’m SO happy that I got to photo-shoot them again! Perhaps the next time I photo-shoot them, there will be little Gerry and Angelique running around ;) Enjoy!! XOXO > > CLICK HERE FOR THEIR FUN SLIDESHOW :-D > > CLICK HERE FOR THEIR FUN SLIDESHOW :-D This was taken right in front of the Plaza Hotel entrance :) I L-O-V-E this!!! TAXI cab driver rocks for letting us do this!
A Beautiful Hindu wedding, Meena and Nitin celebrated with family and friends at the Toronto Marriot Hotel. When Meena originally told me about the days events, she mentioned that the morning Puja ceremomy would culminate with a traditional South Indian Style breakfast including fresh Dosa’s . that is all I needed to hear! I was so there! The Hindu Ceremony was performed by Dr Ravi Srivastava . I had last seen him at Teresa and Nitn’s wedding in Palm Beach, Florida a while back. This Pundit sure gets around! I always find his ceremonies to be quite entertaining! I loved the contemporary decor, Raj from Dream party Decor always amazes me with his talent! And to help pull it all together Poonam from Sapna Weddings , always a pleasure to work with.
The weather this past Sunday could not have been more favorable. Sunny blue skies with puffy little clouds, a nice breeze and very mild temperatures. Hooray! Fall is near! Tulsi, Jesse and I took full advantage of the weather and did a bit of shooting at Auditorium Shores as well as downtown. Had a little bit of trouble with all the dogs at the park, they wouldn’t leave me alone. One of them even lifted their leg up on my camera bag…..and you know what happens next! :-/ Oh well, not much I can do about it besides laugh. We still had a great time and Tulsi and Jesse were really fun to work with. I’m really excited about their wedding in November, which includes Western as well as Indian(Hindu) traditions. Anyhow, here are some sneak peek shots from their session.
As I sit here struggling to narrow down the images for the blog I am equally at a loss for how to shorten my story about Zach & Audra… But several people the day of Zach & Audra’s wedding commented on how they were “soul mates”, they don’t fight, the agree on just about everything and they are like the same person. We did a special moment before the ceremony for just the two of them to see one another and get some photographs. We knew it would be too much to do all the photographs after the ceremony and too dark. I did their engagement photographs at the same location that they had their reception
