If a smile is worth 1,000 words then Marie’s must be worth a million! She looked amazing as she and Pat wed during an outdoor ceremony this month at the Crystal Lake Golf Club in Burriville, Rhode Island. You might remember seeing the engagement photos I took of Marie & Pat in Wilcox Park as well as their maternity portraits. They were also the “winners” of the Caster Creations 2010 Photography Contest. When I reached 500 fans on FB, I chose a lucky couple at random to receive a day of wedding photography. (I’m now up to 753 fans–so keep spreading the word!) Thanks to Sara Bynum of Sara’s Photography in Westerly for accompanying me for this beautiful wedding. I loved the creative favors which were appropriately called “Elly Beans,” named after Marie & Pat’s adorable almost one year-old daughter, who was also the flower girl! Congratulations Marie & Pat! I am so happy to have captured so many happy memories from your big day!
Last Thursday we were fortunate enough to get invited to appear on the
[ b ] School’s Study Hall courtesy of Orange County wedding photographer and [ b ] School founder Becker. SnapKnot Co-founder Reid was on the show, with Mike chiming in via Skype at a couple points during the broadcast. All in all it was a lot of fun for us and we were happy to answer some great questions from the live audience. We’re grateful to everyone who caught some of the show last week!
The Boston Business Journal recently reported on a study conducted by Liberty Mutual on the use of social media. The study found that men are more likely than women to engage in social networking such as Twitter and Facebook. Men are more likely to have more than one social media account (57% vs. 50%) and 51% of men think it is ok for their boss to tweet about their company vs. 37% of women. (37%?!? Get on board, ladies!)2 comments
Facebook has announced that all new photo uploads will have a maximum size of 720 pixels, up from the old 604 pixels. Older images will remain unchanged, but this is great news for wedding photographers uploading sample galleries of their work to the popular social network.no comments
