Tell us a bit about yourself.
Exceeding expectations!! That is our motto at Still Timeless Photography. Our goal is to give the couple photos that make them say “WOW”! We want them to have so many great photos that they will have a hard time choosing their favorites. What a nice problem to have, right?
We are a husband and wife photography team giving you TWO experienced photographers on your wedding day. We feel this is incredibly important to capture every detail. Since we are partners not only in business, but in life, we know each other incredibly well. We have a well-tuned system for documenting your wedding. For example, while Glade is capturing the bride coming down the aisle with her father, Corinne is getting the groom’s reaction to seeing his beautiful bride for the first time. Moments like this are priceless and can be easily missed if there is only one photographer.
How long have you been a photographer?
We have been in the photography business for four years, but it has been a hobby since high school. That was a long time ago! J We are members of WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Professionals International) and take many classes each year to help us continue to perfect our photography skills. We are passionate about photography and enjoy capturing the beautiful and tender moments of a wedding that will be cherished for generations.
Why did you choose to become a photographer?
We have been married for 31 years and have four children and six grandchildren. We got into the photography business after three of our four children got married. They were joyous days, but we were unhappy with their wedding photos. Fortunately, we took some pictures also and actually liked ours the best. A wedding is such an important day and after the food is eaten, the flowers have wilted and the dress hangs in the closet, the photos are the only thing you have left to remember the day. We understand from personal experience the importance of your wedding photos and we do our very best to capture everything we would want, if this were our child getting married. Our age and experience in life gives us an advantage, as weddings can be stressful and the unexpected usually happens. We are prepared and ready for anything. We give 200% to our clients to make sure they are thrilled with our products and services. We are happy to report that our clients have become raving fans!
How would you classify your style of photography?
We especially love landscape photography, so you will often see beautiful landscapes incorporated into our engagement and wedding photos. We enjoy putting our couples in unexpected places and love highlighting their personalities and interests. Our style is timeless, romantic, beautiful, and creative. On the day of the wedding, we do a lot of photojournalism. With two of us shooting at all times, we give our couples many fun and emotional candid photos from the wedding and reception.
Who or what are some of your influences on either a personal or professional level?
We are inspired by nature and the beautiful world around us. Our couples love for each other also inspires us. It is a beautiful thing to witness and capture young love! On a professional level, we are inspired by Jerry Ghionis, Joe Buissink, Jim Garner and Bambi Cantrell.
Do you have any good wedding stories?
One of our favorite moments at the reception is the daddy/daughter dance. It is such a special and tender time for a father to dance with his “little girl”. One of our favorite photos ever (we included it in this article) was taken during this dance. The father’s face was so full of emotion, it brought tears to OUR eyes to photograph him. While Glade captured this special moment, Corinne was capturing the bride’s face with tears streaming down her cheeks. Moments like that our priceless and another testimonial for the importance of TWO photographers at a wedding!
What’s your preferred type of camera equipment?
We each shoot with Canon EOS 5D Mark II with professional grade lenses and equipment. Our equipment allows us to provide the best quality product for our clients. We supplement with off camera lighting to make up for challenging lighting conditions at the wedding and reception sights.
What would you recommend for a couple just starting their search for a wedding photographer?
We would suggest sitting down with them for a consultation in person or via Skype. There are a million photographers out there and many lack the experience and expertise to give you the best product possible. Don’t trust your wedding photos to just anyone. Do your research by looking at testimonials from past clients. See if their portfolio style matches your tastes. Meeting with the photographer gives you a chance to see if your personalities are a good fit. If you feel comfortable with them, when it is time to take pictures, you will feel more relaxed and at ease. This will come through in your pictures. Most importantly, don’t make the decision based on price alone. Cheapest is usually not the best!
Any fun personal facts we should know about you?
We are still madly in love after 31 years of marriage. We enjoy being around young couples who are just beginning their journey together. Working together could be challenging for a lot of couples, but so far we still like each other. J When we are not working, we enjoy scuba diving, hiking, snowshoeing and waterskiing.
We are both die-hard perfectionists which drives us crazy, but is wonderful for our clients who appreciate our attention to detail. We edit every photo that we give the client. We include in our packages all the best high resolution fully edited photos on a CD with the copyright because after all, these are YOUR photos.
One thing that sets us apart from other photographers is our wedding premiere parties. We like to make viewing the wedding photos for the first time a sweet experience. We don’t want the bride and groom and their families huddled around their small computer screen looking at their photos. We want them to relive their wedding day by reminding them of the emotions and joy they felt. We create a slideshow with highlights from the engagements, bridals and wedding set to music. It is usually about a half hour long. We have a party for the bride and groom and their family and friends. We enjoy treats and view their slideshow on a big screen at our office. This slideshow is given to them as part of our premiere wedding packages as a special keepsake. This allows our out-of-town clients to also have this experience in their own home. Also for our out-of-town clients, we put together a short slideshow of highlights from the day and show this to all the wedding guests at the reception. People have LOVED this and it is fun for us to see their reaction to our photos.
We would love to exceed YOUR expectations and tell YOUR love story!! For brides who contact us directly, we offer $100 off our essential wedding packages and $200 off our premiere packages.
