Tell us a bit about yourself.
We are a light-hearted, friendly couple who are blessed with each opportunity that comes our way. Some might look at the highs and lows of this life of ours and say that we are a bit crazy…..well yeah….that’s the fun part! With our country studio, you can say that we’ve learned to juggle with the best of them. But most importantly, we have had the privilege of getting to really know people of all ages, who have helped shape the quality of our work. In short, we love people and really look forward to the next relationship that will help build our reputation. Most of our friends will agree that we invest on a personal level 100% of the time. This is not just a business; it is a foundation to our future.
Why did you choose to become a photographer?
Love of photography and desire to please with artistic creations. Enjoy people and preserving the blessings of memories.
Peggy began shooting travel photography in the 1980’s while working as a flight attendant for United Airlines. Her interest quickly grew to include wildlife images which were quickly admired for the composition, brilliant colors, and amazing lighting. Within the past 12 years, her interest evolved to portraiture in order to capture the twinkle in the eyes, and joy of life shown by each subject. Once blessed with a new marriage, Bob and Peggy continue to enjoy and improve on a talent they both love. Seven years later, we are enjoying, and continuing to improve our studio in beautiful countryside of Coeur d’Alene. We are able to really shape our niche and improve our artistic abilities.
How long have you been a photographer?
We have been capturing images for 18 years.
How would you classify your style of photography?
Our style is unique in that our goal is to capture and bring to life the cherished memories of each personality. We combine a blend of journalistic photography with the story of each individual, creating both beautiful traditional portraits, and scenic panorama’s reflecting the subject’s vision.
What is your preferred type of camera equipment?
Both Peggy and Bob prefer the perfection of the Canon camera and selection of lens.
What would you recommend to a couple just starting their search for a wedding photographer?
Upon being asked by new clients and couples as to the initial steps required to finding a portrait photographer, our answer is always the same: personality! If a client and photographer do not ‘gel’ and enjoy each other’s individuality, too often issues may arise which make the situation difficult. A great business relationship starts with honesty and cooperation.
Any fun, personal facts we should know about you?
Where we are going…We are leaving this part up to God, but while we get the awesome opportunity to hang out with people for a living, we are taking full advantage of it! Thanks to all who have helped us enjoy and improve our passion! We strive to return the blessings every day, every year, forever!
