There is no doubt that San Francisco is a beautiful location to say “I do” and this couple decided to have a romantic San Francisco elopement and took photos together at 3 different venues throughout the city.

Natasha with Natasha I Gillett Photography had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful couple who chose to get married at San Francisco City Hall with a ceremony for just the two of them. Here is what Natasha had to say about the ceremony of Safi and Gabriel on their small and intimate wedding day:

“Safi and Gabriel are deeply and madly in love and after Gabriel proposed they decided not to wait and drive to San Francisco to elope! They are planning a large affair in Southern California next year where they are both from, but both just couldn’t wait to be Mr. and Mrs. Safi’s father had given Gabriel his approval for their marriage, but had no idea that his daughter had eloped in San Francisco. Even though it was only the two of them they wanted their day to be as memorable as it would have been a large wedding. They hired me to photograph their day from them getting ready and their beautiful first look photos in the iconic Fairmont Hotel, to their ceremony at City Hall. Then, they took post ceremony formals at the Legion of Honor.”

Safi and Gabriel started off getting ready for their beautiful San Francisco elopement at The Fairmont Hotel. They both had separate rooms to get ready in and then met up in the lobby for their first look photos.

The Fairmont San Francisco Hotel provides an awe-inspiring picture of historic San Francisco. The luxury hotel on top of Nob Hill along with its amazing service is perfect for anyone and has been the host to some of the most influential meetings and events, amazing weddings and other special occasions.

Here are a few of the amazing photos by Natasha I Gilliett Photography as they got ready for their special day and had their first look photos taken.

Next, the couple traveled to San Francisco City Hall to say their “I dos.” San Francisco City Hall is a restored historic landmark that showcases a rich history and has event space like no other venue in the California city. The architecture is amazing. It is by far a very elegant location and perfect for any wedding… both ceremony or reception (or both)!

Enjoy your ceremony in front of the Grand Staircase in the Rotunda or for larger groups you can rent the North or South Light Court. Visit the City Hall events page to get more detailed information.

San Francisco City Hall does offer a special wedding package that was put together due to the demand of so many couples wanting to have a short, yet elegant and economical wedding at their property. For $5,000, you can rent the Rotunda for two hours for up to 200 guests. It also includes 200 folding chairs, 3 tables, an event manager and more. To see more details about the package, visit the City Hall website here.

Finally, the couple ended their San Francisco elopement at Legion of Honor, San Francisco’s most beautiful museum. The museum, which was built to commemorate Californian soldiers who died in World War I, displays a collection of 4,000 years of ancient and European art in an amazing setting that overlooks the Golden Gate Bridge.

It is an absolutely stunning location to have your wedding photos taken… see for yourself with these photos below taken by Natasha I Gillett Photography.
