There is something so beautiful and elegant about a perfect vintage wedding, just like this one between Hannah and Mike that was photographed by Bailey with B. Balanced Photography.
The event took place in Lafayette, Indiana at Thomas Duncan Hall which was built in 1928 for the Community House Association. The association sought to improve the quality of life of other women who had been attracted to the beautiful and growing city of Lafayette to help them seek employment and attend school. The association also established training programs and housing for these women, as well as started the first Kindergarten in the area.
With such an important place in the history of the city, and the beautiful rooms it offers (including the Victorian Tea Room), it was the perfect choice for the marriage between Hannah and Mike.
Here is what Bailey had to say about this perfect vintage wedding:
“I’ve known the bride since we were in grade school together… and I have never seen her happier. Hannah and Mike invited me into the beginning of their lives, and I couldn’t be more grateful. They began courting soon after meeting and it didn’t take long for them to fall head over heels for one another! Hannah’s father, the officiant, proudly joined them in holy matrimony. All of the yellow, silver, and lace details together created the perfect vintage theme, especially in the historic wedding hall. I am so happy for this humble and faithful couple, and I wish them the very best on their journey together!”
The beautiful white lace along with the yellow and silver accents coupled with the historic feel of the building makes for such a perfect vintage wedding ceremony and reception. The bride’s dress, which is total lace is simply stunning.
