Trulove Photography, a new addition to our list of Roswell, Georgia photographers, creates natural wedding photos so that her clients can always look back and remember their special day! Check it out:
1) Tell us a bit about yourself.
Well, I live in Roswell, Ga. with my husband and my dog, Roofus (who we mostly call Doofus). I spend my free time eating Mexican food (yum!) with my girlfriends, watching Castle, New Girl, NCIS, and Big Bang Theory with my husband, buying WAY to many pairs of shoes, and obsessively searching for which awesome piece of photography equipment I want, no need, next.
I am an outgoing, go-getter, DIYer, I may or may not be addicted to Pinterest, and I am your wedding photographer and new bff.
2) Why did you choose to become a photographer?
This one is easy, because I like to take pictures. Ha, but really, I became I photographer because I like to create. I think of myself more like an artist. I take what is in front of me and shape it into an image that illustrates the love between you and your fiancé.
3) How long have you been a photographer?
I decided to go pro in 2011.
4) How would you classify your style of photography?
Modern. Natural. Fun.
5) Who or what are some of your influences on either a personal or professional level?
I have learned so much from many, many photographers in the industry. Just to name a few Sal Cincotta, Sue Bryce, Kristy Dickerson, and Chris Walters.
On a personal level, I think my biggest influence is my mom. She taught me to be strong and independent but at the same time to remain compassionate.
6) Do you have any good wedding stories?
This is from when I was first starting out. I was at a wedding assisting another photographer, and we were at the reception standing by the dance floor. One of the guests was a “little” intoxicated, and he kept asking me to dance with him! Not only was it weird because I was there to work, but it was REALLY weird because he came with a date (who gave me the evil eye for the rest of the night).
7) What’s your preferred type of camera equipment?
I shoot Canon. My favorite lenses are the 24-70mm and the 70-200mm.
8) What would you recommend for a couple just starting their search for a wedding photographer?
My number one piece of advice is to hire someone you click with! You have to spend 8 to 10 hours with your wedding photographer and if your personalities don’t go well together you could end up with a problem. So, make sure you not only like their photography, but you also like them!
9) Any fun personal facts we should know about you?
I do have a few talents. First, I’ll get along with your granny really well because I know how to knit, sew, and crochet. Yep. I can also highlight and dye hair, fold a fitted sheet, and I have knack for finding the things my husband loses within 30 seconds or less.
