There is something about a southern wedding during the fall season that we simply love. Today’s wedding photos come from Blake and Brittany, the beautiful bride and groom, and were shot by Brandy with Brandy Angel Photography. The couple’s wedding took place in Greensboro, Georgia at the Washington Grass Inn.
Here is what Brittany revealed about her and Blake’s relationship and beautiful wedding:
“Blake and I met while attending the University of West Georgia. I was in a sorority and he was in a fraternity, and we had many mutual friends. We were set up by friends to go out on a date. We had a slow start but we soon fell in love and have never looked back.
Our wedding was very country and rustic. With it being an October wedding, we wanted it to look like a true fall wedding. We stayed true to our theme throughout all aspects of our wedding.
My wedding dress was a full length ivory colored gown. The style was trumpet and it had a sweetheart neckline. The dress was fully made of tulle with a basket weave pattern on top and a layered look on the bottom. I chose a beaded belt to add some bling. To keep with the theme of the wedding, I wore brown cowboy boots. I felt the trumpet style fit best with my body type, and I knew that this was ‘my dress’ as soon as I put it on. It looked so different from others and I couldn’t leave the store without purchasing it. It was only the third dress I tried on.
Our ceremony went along well with our country/ rustic theme. The ceremony took place at Washington Grass Inn located in the ‘circle of trees’ in the middle of a pasture. The altar was in front of an old wooden door which was opened to the open pasture. There were tree stumps set up down the aisle accompanied with mason jars with colorful, wild flowers. Our ceremony was very romantic, religious, and one of a kind. During the ceremony, we felt like the only two people in the entire world.”
We hope you fall in love with this couple’s Washington Grass Inn wedding photos as much as we have!
Here is a bit more from the bride:
“Our reception kept with our rustic, fall theme. It took place at Washington Grass Inn in Greensboro, Georgia. The reception dinner was held under a wooden pavilion with burlap curtains and wooden swings hanging on both sides. The centerpieces were DIY mason jars filled with wheat grass places on a slice of a tree stump, with candles and pinecones placed around. The flowers were beautiful fall flowers with colors of red, orange, yellow, and plum. The cake was a simple three-tiered textured cake wrapped with twine and with pine cones on top. All décor included tree stumps, pinecones, twine, wheat grass, and rustic looking accessories. Everything had a very personal feel throughout all aspects of our wedding.
My favorite part of the wedding was getting to marry my best friend in the presence of many family members and friends that mean so much to us. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and all of the love that we felt for each other. Our wedding is just the beginning of our love story.”
