She is sure to use her passion for photography in order to beautifully capture every special moment of your big day. Here is a little look into Isabel’s inspiring world:
1) Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Isabel Aristy and Bronx resident who graduated with my bachelors in Communication Design. I am a freelance Graphic designer and photographer as well as a full time Career and Technical teacher. I am 26 years old, happily married and I am very passionate about photography and design.
2) Why did you choose to become a photographer?
I have always loved to take photos. Since I was a teen you did not catch me without a disposable camera in my hand. As I grew up and went to college, my major required photography classes so i bought a digital camera with manual settings. I never looked back. As I got better and understood the techniques better, I upgraded my camera and my lens. I began using my friends for Photography Projects and offering to take photos at friends’ weddings and parties until people began to request me to take their photos. Everytime I am behind a camera, I take million of photos and can never stop.
3) How long have you been a photographer?
Professionally, I have 2 years under my belt, but with a camera I would say about 10 years.
4) How would you classify your style of photography?
Photo Journalist. I feel my style of Photography is getting a story across.
5) Who or what are some of your influences on either a personal or professional level?
I look to acquaintances who are Professional Photographers
6) Do you have any good wedding stories?
I have professionally done about 5 weddings. I have seen a bride dance in her native culture as well as sing to her husband. Very beautiful. I have seen guys and girls dance battle which was a pretty exciting factor and much more.
7) What’s your preferred type of camera equipment?
I love Canon. They are my favorite. I am currently working with a speed light and a Canon Mark II
8) What would you recommend for a couple just starting their search for a wedding photographer?
I am one who was that bride looking for a photographer for my wedding. Lets face it. Some brides can spend the extra cash on her Photographer and others need to budget their money. So Find a photographer who is going to be worth your time and your money. I have seen Brides spend the extra cash and receive less what others can offer, so make sure you are getting what your money is worth.
9) Any fun personal facts we should know about you?
I am a very down to earth person. I love to have a good time and be comfortable with my clients, at the end of the day they are paying me to make sure their memories are locked in tight. That is a lot of pressure on my shoulders each time and an amazing challenge each time.
