The New Orleans, Louisiana area has a recent SnapKnot addition – Jason Albus Photography! Jason is a diverse wedding photographer whom captures the finest moments of your wedding day. Find out a little more about what makes this photographer so special!
My name is Jason Albus. I’m a twenty-nine year old photographer based out of New Orleans, LA, a recent transplant from Minneapolis, MN. I fell in love with the city, as some people often do, and decided to call it home. It’s one of the most beautiful and mysterious places I’ve ever been to, and such an honor to get to photograph couples down here. Whether it’s a destination wedding in the Quarter, or a local wedding in City Park or Uptown, it’s always a treat to shoot here.
I also still call Minneapolis my home, and continue to shoot there, as well as having shot weddings in New York, Boston, Seattle, San Francisco; and internationally in Puerto Rico. I have a passport and love to travel. I’m a bit of a vagabond at heart, and photography and travel are a part of my blood.
As far as my style goes, I’d call myself a photojournalist. It’s what my background is in. I like to stay in the background, looking for those little moments that others might miss. It’s those moments that are going to define your day. They only happen in a fraction of a second, so you need a photographer who always has his camera ready. We photographers always lament that shot that got away. It happens to the best of us.
I dig working with diverse couples of all races, religion (or non-religions), ethnicities, etc. It’s worth noting I’m LGBT friendly, and it’d be a dream to fly out to Seattle or other states to shoot a same-sex marriage sometime. Hopefully in 2013!
