There is nothing a girl dreams of more than having a classy elegant wedding, like one seen in the movies. Cinderella and other Disney princesses showcase a sense of elegance and class and allow girls starting a young age to hope that they will someday have that fairy tale wedding with her prince charming.
We are very excited today to show you this classy elegant wedding with a modern romantic flair that was submitted to us by Skybox Event Productions. The wedding between Brett and Crystal in September 2013 was at the Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
The bride and groom have provided some wonderful details about their day that they share below. We hope you enjoy the beautiful photos taken by John Boone Photography of this classic elegant wedding.
What Was The Vision She Had For Her Classic Elegant Wedding?
“When it came to our big day, we wanted it all. We wanted to blend our two families and show them that though we were the center of attention that day, we were only there because of our family and friends. With that in mind, we wanted to make our guests feel as though they were in on our love, because they were. Our focus was very much on the support we have had from our family and friends.”
“Our wedding ceremony was classic and elegant, with all monochromatic colors. It was lush with white, silver, and black as our color palate. We wanted our ceremony to be extremely personal and I think we did that with our own personal vows as well as traditional. We were wed by a judge, the first judge I ever appeared in front of as an attorney. It was important to us that we give a nod to all aspects of our life together, so we had the legal side, and the church side; we did a unity candle and had a pastor bless our union (in English and Spanish for both sides of the family). Our family members were our maids of honor and best men; my two sisters and Brett’s two dads. As far as giving me away, my parents introduced us so it was only fitting that both my mom and dad walked me down the aisle. It was important to us that our ceremony was who we were as individuals and as a couple and that it truly reflected our love for each other.”
“For cocktails, we wanted our family and friends to enjoy a little more of my culture, so we had a live mariachi band. For the reception, it was important to us that it be a party. We decided to do that with the decor and lighting. We wanted it to be a stark contrast to our ceremony so it was all jewel tones for the reception. Our table names were all cities or places we have been together as a couple or places that have defined us as a couple (we first met in Washington DC, we were engaged in New York, etc.) The first dance was more of our fun loving side and the dancing was whatever would make our guests move and have fun. The kids were given a goodie bag full of activities, candy, and glow sticks. We had a photo booth and a taco truck come to send everyone home with a full stomach.”
Some Memorable Experiences From Their Wedding Day
“When my dad handed me off to Brett, he said “I know you’ll take good care of her.” Our pet Yorkie, named Bella, was our flower girl during the ceremony. She wore a white dress (that we had made for her) and she walked all the way down the aisle and watched the entire ceremony and didn’t bark once!
Neither one of us looked or knew what our personal vows were going to say, but we both mentioned the Seattle Seahawks and the Sunday Night Football song in our vows. As a surprise, I had a custom garter belt made in Seahawks colors and with a Seahawk logo. It was also my “something blue.”
Our videographers from Blue Kite Cinema were amazing! They strapped a video camera to a remote control helicopter and got some of the most amazing shots ever! The vantage points are out of control.”

“The King Taco Truck was a highlight! The truck got there around 9:30 for a late time snack. Every one appreciated it after all the dancing. A funny thing about that was all of our family and friends from Washington were warning each other about the “hot” red sauce that all the people from California were eating without a problem.
For our first dance we had practiced for a couple of months and it was our chance to show the fun side now that the serious part of the day was over. We also wanted to have our “second dance together” be with all our “marriage supporters” so we asked all of the married couples to dance the next song with us. It was a nice way to see all the couples that have made marriage work and our new relationship support system.
We honored two couples who shared their anniversary with us at our wedding with a small cake. It was nice to be in good company.
We thought all of our toasts were amazing. Particularly the Father of the Bride’s speech. At the end he called the Groom “his new BFF” and it brought down the house.”
